Description

Space Masquerade is a sci-fi murder mystery game where you play as a journalist who is invited to a dinner party where the host is mysteriously murdered. Even more mysteriously, you wind up floating in space inside the house, now your only option is to use your investigative journalism skills to find and accuse the killer in the house.

This game is a single-player, point-and-click narrative game. Interact with characters and find clues to unravel secrets and gather information to get to the bottom of this mystery.

Instructions

Please read the Instructions below before playing the game:

To win the game, you must accuse the right person of the murder. You only get one chance to get it right, or you have to start over! You can accuse a person when you have enough Key Clues to accuse a character, by clicking the accuse button. Each character needs two unique Key Clues to be accused. You can collect Key Clues in the different rooms.

When you collect Key Clues, stop back at the Dining Room to see a character’s reaction to what you’ve discovered! When a character has something new to say, they’ll have a golden exclamation mark above their head. Sometimes in order to talk to a character after finding their Key Clue, you'll have to find another Key Clue for them first.

Click on the Map Icon on the top right to access the map. Here you can move to different rooms of the house. If a room has a lock icon next to it, that means you need a key to unlock it. You can find keys in unlocked rooms.

Click on the Journal Icon on the top left to access the journal. Here you can see info on the key clues needed to accuse someone. The Journal also displays information on collectible sets, which include the “??? set” and the “Teleportation Set”.

The “??? Set'' includes the Suspicious Goo Jar and other select items found around the house. When you collect Suspicious Goo, the jar will fill up. Get all 6 Goo's in each room and other select items to unlock the “??? Set.” To unlock the “Teleportation Set” simply click on all the teleportation sheets scattered throughout all 6 rooms, and find Sebastian’s Device. Once you complete the collectible sets and accuse the right person as the murderer, you will unlock the True Ending!

We hope you have fun, thanks for playing!

If you’re stuck and can’t progress any further in the game…here are some hints to help you. We recommend not reading these hints unless you are completely and thoroughly stumped!

Can’t unlock the Master bedroom? Hm…you imagine that Hugh has the key for Sebastian’s bedroom, as he is his butler. Perhaps it's in the Servants Quarters, hidden in a drawer somewhere….

Can’t unlock the basement? Sebastian’s a clever man, the key must be well hidden. Hm…Sebastian was always fond of reading…

Can’t find all the items in a Collectible Set? Keep searching! There is a Suspicious Goo and Teleportation Sheet in each room. Other select items for these sets are found throughout the rooms.

Can’t figure out who the real murderer is? Try exploring all the rooms, finding all the clues, and talking to all the characters, including side characters. Everyone has some unique information to share with you.
